The module Disaster Risk and Climate Change DRCC-410 aims at equipping the students with knowledge about disaster risks associated with climate change through increased knowledge and skills of different actors at the national and local levels.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students should be able to:
• Describe a visual representation of a disaster risk and its components
• Identify different impacts of climate change on communities and the environment.
• Describe nature and extent of vulnerabilities communities and the environment can experience from climate change effects
• Propose adaptation strategies.
• Identify synergies that exist between disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
• Integrate DRR with adaptation to climate change, in the context of development and poverty-reduction activities.
• Relate development and Disaster risk reduction to climate change adaptation.
